Growing up with Knight Rider on the TV was an interesting one so it naturally followed that I watched and followed the revived series.  In the 2008 series K.I.T.T. has been upgraded to a Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR which featured a full screen heads up display on the front windshield.  Which I thought was pretty cool.  Multitasking while driving, yeah!

From the look of things right now, GMs having some envy and decided to make the SciFi show technology a reality.  GMs now working on a full screen HUD for their future vehicles to assist drivers avoid accidents and getting lost.  No supercomputer or artificial intelligence will be installed, is what I know.  Yet.  But who can tell?

Maybe someone will take what GMs working on above and the project Audi’s working on (the autonomous vehicle, remember?) and then merging it with the remote controlled car project… Wow!  That will be a car I can replace my current dream car with.
