What a fitting strip from one of my favorite comic sites. And so apt to my case now, being the director of the maternity ward. Or the fertility god. Whichever way you want to put it.

Sometime last week someone in the office decided to spice things up for some fun. He came up with floats. Each team is to make a float that will celebrate some New Orleans festival. I think you know which one I mean. At any rate, I’m not one of those “creative” types that you normally meet in some select industries or departments so I simply delegated it to my staff with these instructions: Make it thrifty, use the office chair for the float, don’t bother me with this… just surprise me.
Surprise me, they did. Here’s a somewhat closeup shot of the float.
The Duck’s holding balloons on sticks and the overall theme of the float was a baby stroller. Made using gift wrapping paper stiffened with lots of staple wires and tape. Apparently my team has decided to expand on the theme of our team’s bulletin board.
Notice the milk bottle? For those who’ve been following this blog, the team’s theme is pretty obvious by now. For those who don’t… stay tuned for the next post.
